Candidate will be able to ramp up on Ikanos platforms and development methodologies within 2 months and begin to make meaningful contributions Candidate will be able to resolve issues of moderate complexity and take on new features/capabilities tasks of moderate complexity Within the first year at Ikanos candidate will establish himself as a go-to-engineer who can successfully implement new capabilities and resolve complex issues on time   Desired Profile : He/She will take a key engineering role in the DSP/PHY firmware architecture, design, implementation, unit test, integration and QA for Ikanos\' world leading digital communication products. This person will be involved in all phases of DSP firmware ranging from up front algorithm development to implementation to debugging and resolved reported issues. It is expected that this person will be able to be given tasks of moderate complexity and be able to work with only moderate guidance on these tasks. It is also important that this candidate be able to work well with others in a team environment. The position is “hands-on” in natureYou Are:Experience with communication device architecture and design (xDSL, Cable modem, wireless)Looking for candidates with roughly 3-8 years of experience, will consider candidates out of school who have an exceptional academic background Moderate understanding of hardware, software partition, interfaces\' design and optimizationModerate knowledge of communication protocols for physical layer devicesExcellent development of software written in C and assembly languageExperience with use of Spectrum analyzers, loop simulator, noise generators, etc.Excellent communication skillsEducation should be at the BSEE level, MSEE is highly desired (or equivalent experience) Key Skills : He/She will take a key engineering role in the DSP/PHY firmware architecture, design, implementation, unit test, integration and QA for Ikanos\' world leading digital communication products.
